How excellent! We got to meet the lovely CDF General Cosgrove and his wife
at the Defence Advisor, Colonel Paul & Sandra powers home in new Delhi
with us are captain David & Cissy Michael (NDC) & WO1 Ian & Michelle lench (DAA)
Just one of the very unique experiences of the DSSC was the Ooty Hunt Club

The DSSC Equitation section had over 50 horses You ride for free, daily

The Forward Area Tour to Kashmir was an exciting component of the DSSC 60th Staff Course
The DSSC organised many fun family activities and functions including fortnightly hikes
Another difference were the constant social engagements, DSSC & mess functions
A very big change from my isolating RAAF lifestyle in Oz where social functions are non existent!
Your presentation was very important and social networking actually mandatory!
Here we are tarted up for the "gunners ball" "we kill for peace" and navy queen ball
When the guys were busy (always) studying then 'us' ladies got together for fun,
"IQ" - 'Indian Quilters' in action with Becky (Cimellas Californian Mum" teaching us stack n wack
It was a wonderful change to be part of an actual positive defence community network
The Foreign Student Presentation was an important part of the course, Representing magic Australia was not a hard job, as you can see 1000 people wanted to learn about our 'Lucky Country" Here is Deepak Bhat & Amit Sharma who were Christopher's techno mages!
We even got to host lovely Australian High Commissioner HE Mrs Penny Wensley, with equally as wonderful, DA Colonel Paul Power
Colonel Charles Wright and his beautiful wife Phyllis are Wellington & DSSC Community celebrities having been there for 40 years!
Our children made many allied global friends,
experienced tolerance and understanding of other amazing cultures

Graduation of 60th Staff Course brought many smiles, and a few tears
Mostly though, a wonderful adventure of Memories and friends for Life
